Scientific Guidelines

Broad areas to be covered in scientific sessions

The program will include plenary lectures, invited talks, proffered papers and poster sessions focusing on recent advances in the following areas:

  • Diagnostics and Interventional Radiology
  • Recent Advances in Radioprotector Research
  • Biodosimetry
  • Heavy ion Radiation Biology
  • Bystander and Non-targeted DNA effects
  • Radiation-induced damage and repair mechanisms
  • Preparedness for Radiation Emergencies
  • Radiobiological Research in Radiation Oncology
  • Stem cell therapy for radiation medicine
  • Novel Therapies and Biomarkers for Radiation Injuries
  • Radiation Risks, Management and Radiation protection

The abstracts are invited in the areas covered in the conference. The contents of abstract should include background, objectives, methods, results and conclusions. The title should be in capital and in bold followed by name of authors (with first name first, then middle name followed by family name) and their institutional address with email address of the corresponding author. Do not append degrees, professional designations, etc to names. The name of presenting author should be underlined. The abstract should be typed using Microsoft Word (Times New Roman, font size 12 and 1.5 pt spacing between lines, limit 300 words). Abbreviations used in the body of an abstract should be defined at their first mention in the text.

Abstract will be considered for presentation only if they are accompanied by registration fee of presenting author. Normally only one paper is allowed per author, unless prior permission th of organizers is taken. Last due date for the abstract submission is 5th November 2023. All Presenters must fill the online REGISTRATION FORM. If an abstract is accepted and Presenter does not register, the abstract will be withdrawn.

Accepted abstracts will be published with ISBN with your consent.

Guidelines for Oral presentation

Time limit of 7+2 minutes will be strictly adhered to LCD projectors for use of MS Power Point slides in Windows 10 computers will be available. For any other formats/operating systems please discuss with us in advance.

Presenters should be present at the venue at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the session and are expected to stay till the end of the session.

Guidelines for poster presentation

Posters size should not exceed 4x3 ft (LxB). Presenters should mount their posters in the assigned area at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the session and are expected to be there beside the posters throughout the poster session. Posters should be dismounted immediately after the end of the session. For further details, visit the conference website at www.icrb2023.com

Awards

Indian Society for Radiation Biology (ISRB) has instituted the following awards.

  • Mrs. & Dr. M. R. Raju Award
  • Young Scientist Award
  • Best Poster Presentation Award

Candidates who desire to participate in the contest for the Young Scientist Award are requested to fill the declaration forms (available at www.icrb2023.com), and send the fulllength papers complete in all respects, to the President ISRB (bala44@gmail.com). They should also mail a copy to the Organizing Secretary ICRB-2023 (icrb2023@nitte.edu.in). The th last date for submission of full-length papers is latest by 15th October, 2023. The entries for Young Scientist Award and Poster Awards will be judged on the spot.
